Have you been touched, or do you know someone who has been touched, by depression or other mental disorder? If so, please share your brief story here.
I’ve experienced anxiety my whole life, but only realized that not everyone worries as much as I do during an abnormal psychology class my senior year of college. I still suffer from what feels like uncontrollable anxiety and panic attacks, but I am better equipped to get through them by recognizing what my specific triggers are, and actively working on taking the time to care for myself.
Please include your personal message you would say to someone who is currently going through depression or other mental disorder.
Know that you’re not alone, even though it can feel that way. Lean on those who support you and those who understand (or try to understand). Remember that you deserve self-care and take the time to do sometimes just for yourself.
